Mudbound by Hillary Jordan

Told from a variety of perspectives, this novel of ruralism and racism in the South at the end of the Second World War draws the reader in, ultimately unveiling the inevitable results of a generation steeped in hatred and prejudice. The book is easy to get into and an excellent read. Winner of Barbara Kingsolver’s Bellwether Prize.
