What is this all about?

The IVPL Summer Reading blog is a place where members of IVPL’s Adult Summer Reading Club can talk about the books they are reading. Members post book reviews and can comment on other reviews on the site. Each book review entitles a member to be entered in a raffle for prizes.

How do I join the discussion?

Send your review to refdesk@ivpl.org with “Summer Reading Blog” in the Subject line. We will post your review and enter you in our weekly drawing.

You can also stop in the library and fill out a book review entry slip. Look for book review slips with the tree display outside the Pennsylvania Room. If you would like us to include your written review on the blog, be sure to note that on the review slip.

What should I include in my review?

Include the title, author, and year of publication. Also include a descriptive category (e.g., mystery, romance, biography, science fiction, Westerns, non-fiction, horror, fantasy, poetry, etc.).  Reviews should include a brief summary of the plot and your opinion of the book. Let us know why you did or did not like it.
